Lake Powell with my pal

Rose and I were able to go to Lake Powell about 2 weeks ago. It was really fun! We had a blast. The only sad part was that Nate was unable to come with us. Anyway, here are a few pictures! Enjoy!

a year ago today

A year ago today Nate proposed to me on the grounds of the Birmingham Alabama temple. I could not have been happier to say yes. I had known for a while that I was going to marry him, but I did not know he even had a ring the day he proposed. Here are a few pictures that we took that night we got engaged. Time sure does fly when you are having fun!

today is my best friends birthday! nate is by far the most amazing person i know. i am so glad that he came into my life. he is so important to me. today is his birthday! I love you Nate! this is my tribute to him.

a few things i love about Nate:

he is dead sexy!

he is the most fun person i know.

he ALWAYS makes me laugh.

he knows me more than i know myself.

he is really smart.

completley dedicated to anything he sets his mind to do.

very athletic.

loves sports, even if its just because i love it sometimes.

his beard.

his family is the most important thing to him.

he has an amazingly strong testimony of the gospel.

this list could go on forever! i love my husband! but i only said a few :)

WELCOME GRITS!

So, i was helping a friend find a puppy the other day on Craigslist and we found a woman nearby that had a new litter. She sent us a few pictures. We decided to go to her home that evening so that we could check out the pups-with no intention of buying one.

Nate and I have been talking about getting another dog because Scout needs companionship. We didn't think it would happen this soon, but she found us. Sorta :)

As soon as we saw the puppies I knew we were gonna take one home. They were just too cute!

Spring Break!

Things are so good!! We went on an extended vacation for sping break! The first weekend we went to California with our friends. The beach and Magic Mountain were so fun! The second weekend, we went down to St. George to stay with my family. We had a really good time. We took Scout down with us. We went mountain biking. We attempted to go rock climbing, but got in way above our heads with a really hard climb. So we went mountain biking some more. Over all, we biked about 20 miles in 2 days! It was so awesome because Scout came on the trails with us! He loved it! He ran at a steady pace and enjoyed the freedom of being in the desert. Towards the end of the weekend, Scout realized that if he got in front of Nate(who was in front) that he could set the pace. We totally wore him out! Over all it was a really good spring break! We are so blessed!

this is our little boy scout. we got him right after christmas. nate "gave" him to me for a christmas present. i only say "gave" because he really only gave me puppy food. we couldnt get scout until we got back to utah several days after christmas. we found scout on KSL at an animal shelter in down in payson. he had broken one of his back legs and his previous owners couldnt afford to fix him. so, they gave him up to this animal shelter. boy, are we sure lucky to have this little guy in our life. at first, he was difficult. especially to potty train. we would put him outside to go number 2 and he would hold it, come back inside, and go sneak away to poop. crate training was also hard. several nights of him just whining to have someone, anyone, let him out. the thing that changed it all was this toy we bought for him at petsmart. its called a Kong. i highly recommend them for anyone who has a dog. chewer or not. they are incredible. you put treats or peanut butter in them and your dog will chew it for hours. this great toy has made our life so much easier.

scout has since mellowed out a bit. he loves to go in the car. he will run out to the car and just sit and wait. he just simply loves being in the car. as you can tell by this picture of him. we took him snow shoeing a few weekends ago. he was so full of energy when we first went. after at least 3 hours of hiking, he was finally tired. he layed across the entire back seat and slept all the way home. we also took him to mystic hot springs with us this weekend. he meet several other dogs there and was just so happy. all the way home, he slept. we sure do love wearing that pup out. we sleep better. and so does he.

his best friend in the whole wide world though is charley valentine. at first little charley was too playful for scout, now they are inseparable.

we love scout. he is the best dog in the world(no offense). he fits well in our life and we look forward to many years of adventure and laughter with this little(for now) pup.

so, i was not going to post these pictures, but megan was brave enough to post her baby picture, so i guess i will be too! i found this website, where i can take a picture of me and nate and it will tell us what our babies will look like. i did it, not really nate, and this is what we came up with :)
